Hi there! Angela Fehr here and I'm excited to share my new favourite layout. Summer is birthday season, and for my youngest daughter's 7th birthday, we got her a kitten! She was over the moon and you can see her love in this sweet photo. 

I used Kreaxions punch #903 to make the vertical borders on each side of the kraft card stock. It is a beautiful punch and I love the delicate border it makes. 

I also used the negative shapes that landed on my scrap desk as photo corners – aren't they cute? I love the contrast with the dark background in the photo.

Contrasts are so effective in making a great layout – here I love the contrasts of texture (corrugated base paper) and shape (die cut journal block & punched border).
