Card Making

Mother’s Day Card

In honor of Mother’s Day I am sharing another card with you this week.  An easy way to use your scraps is to make cards.  An easy way to jazz up those scraps is to use your punches!  So today I’m sharing a card which was based on a sketch by our very own DT Member Lisa Moen!  We are fellow Design Team Members at My Scraps & More and Lisa posted a sketch as a challenge last month.  I needed some Mother’s Day cards and this is what I came up with!

  Mothers Day Card #2

Sketch by Lisa Moen; Card Base – Recollections; Cardstock – American Crafts; Patterned Papers – MME; Bling – K & Company; Ink – Colorbox; Circle Cutter – Kreaxions; Punch – Kreaxions #904; Stamp – CTMH; Stickles – Ranger

The two pieces on the side are punched with Kreaxions 4-in-1 Punch #904 Circle at the top and bottom.  I punched twice so that it would look like a border but left a bit of room in between the top parts of the punch so they wouldn’t fall away.

Punches are a simple and easy way to make your card look FABULOUS!  And oh what a great effect!  So the next time you need a card, pull out your punches and your scraps and have fun creating!  Happy Punching!  Ginni Gass
