Punch 905

Creating with Cut Away Pieces

Today I’m showcasing Kreaxions 4-in-1 Punch #905.  The difference is that today I’m featuring the CUT AWAY pieces from that punch.  The beauty of the Kreaxions punches is that not only do you get 4 punches for the price of 1 but you also get so many pieces left over from your punching.  I am always looking at the pieces saying “Can I use those?  They’re so pretty that it would be a shame to throw them away!”  And that’s how this page came about.  Once again, it’s a page from my brother and sister-in-law’s wedding album (which I FINALLY finished for Christmas).  This page features a picture of the beautiful flower that was on her dress.

  My Dress

To create the corners I simply cut 2 squares each of 3 different colors of cardstock at 1½”, 1¼” and 1”.  Then I cut those pieces diagonally in half from corner to corner to create the triangles.  Place them matted smallest to middle and middle to largest and then glue on the larger cut away piece.

The border is simply the larger cut away pieces glued end-to-end across the page with a rhinestone stuck in the middle.

I also placed the small swirly cut away piece on each of the 4 corners of the picture.

I stamped the title with Autumn Leaves alphabet stamps and filled them in with Stickles and added a few rhinestones.  Then I added the chipboard element from Me and My Big Ideas and voila!  A very simple but elegant page!

So I challenge you to see what you can create with YOUR cut away pieces!!!

Happy Punching!  Ginni G
