Punch 902

Welcome February GDT Sue Sykes

Ssykesheadshot72

Hi everyone! Thanks to Just Imagine Crafts for asking me to be a guest designer this month. My name is Sue Sykes. I live in Southwestern Ontario with my best friend and husband of 15 years, Gary, and their son, Connor (13), and 8 year old daughter, Aili (rhymes with Riley!).
I consider myself blessed to be published in several scrapbooking magazines, including a cover layout. I have been a contributing writer/designer for Canadian Scrapbooker (http://www.canadianscrapbooker.ca) for nearly 8 years and am honoured to be part of such a great team.  To date, I have written 25 articles, including two feature articles. I also manage the Tuesdays With The Team blog entries and a new blog feature that I’m really excited about coming soon!!
When I’m not writing or designing, I love to spend time with my family, bake cupcakes, read and paint!

For my project, I used the Kreaxions 4-in-1 Punch – 902 Daisy  to create my border on my nearly –white-on-white card. I marked off 1 cm increments and lined it up with my punch. I stamped the image with my Unity Itty Bitty stamp, You are my Sunshine , embossed it with Stampendous Kaleidoscope embossing powder and used my Spectrum Noir markers  to colour it.

Using my Stampin’ Up Chevron Textured Impressions embossing folder, I embossed white cardstock and attached it to the punched 4.25” x 5.5” base. A quick wrap of sunny yellow ribbon with a bow and voila!
Thanks again for having me – I’ll be back to share some more projects later in the month!
