Circle Cutter-

Punch 901-

Punch 919

Thrilling Thursday

Hello again! Charity here with another reason to grab yourself some punches and that FABULOUS circle cutter.

And what better reason than your own sweet Mommy?

Mom (1) (800x800)

For this card I started with a 4.5"x6" base. Then I set my circle cutter on 4" and cut out a base from a contrasting color. I cut this circle in half and then punched along the rounded edge with Punch #919,

Mom (2) (798x800)

After inking the punched edge of my cardstock I scored the half circles so that they overlapped in front of my card base. I left a half inch tab in the back for adhering to my card base and trimmed off the extra. Don't you know it, I got it a little crooked so I added pale pink ribbon to the lower edge and called it good.

To close the card I placed a brad 2 inches in on each side and then tied a quick bow with twine.

Mom (3) (800x800)

To get the line of embossed butterflies across the top I first punched a piece of heavy cardstock with Punch #901 and Insert A. Then I laid it across the top of my card as a mask and sponged embossing ink along the design. A poof of pink embossing powder and a hit with the heat gun and this card was ready to go.
