Playing the Challenges Is So Much Fun!

Hi, Angela Fehr here with some projects to brighten up your Tuesday!

Confession time: While I love my punches, it wasn't until I received a set of Kreaxions Punch Templates in my design team package that I realized just how much Kreaxions punches stand out from other brands of punches.

Mr and Mrs card
Look at the window in this card! You cannot punch in a circle with ordinary punches, but with the templates, the circle cutter and Kreaxions punches, you can create your own punched circles, punching both inside or outside the circle to create amazing designs. This takes creativity to a whole new level!

I've been inspired by the many different challenges this month – have you entered any yet? I sat down over the weekend and made a few projects for each challenge. For Bev's monochromatic challenge, I made this card: Easter monochrome card

While at first glance this looks like a simple use of border punches, if you look a little closer, you will see that I alternated 2 different punches (Punch #304 & #905) to get a varied edge, just for fun!

Hello tag cardFor my last card, I actually combined 2 challenges, Lisa's challenge to use scraps you might otherwise throw away (see the tiny hearts on the first tag?), and Bev's challenge to create a flower for your card. That flower was made using a punched border strip, cut in sections, and then scrunched and glued to the page. Also note the little red border peeking out from below the black patterned paper – more punchy fun!

My challenge for you is to use a template to create a different shape with your punches – that's if you have a Kreaxions punch to use (don't forget that using a Kreaxions punch on any challenge project gives you TWO entries in this month of challenges!). If you don't have a Kreaxions punch and want to play along, use your punch to alter standard shapes in some way – take the corners off a square or rectangle, add a punched edge to a card, etc. Have fun playing along!
