Paper Weaving & Happy Birthday!!

Hi everyone! My new obsession for the week is paper weaving – that's how I made the background for this card.

Document-2

These are 6" x 3/4" paper strips (these are scraps I had fro making Memories Whimsy and Just Chillin Girl lines). The borders are the leftovers from punching a border with Kreaxions 918 punch with no insert. As you can see I used my trusty Circle Cutter (just love that thing!) to cut the pink circle and then a Spellbinders ides to cut the scalloped circle. The other supplies used are: sentiment from Elle's Studio, tag from K and Co., flower sticker from MAMBI, cardstock from Core'dinations, ribbon.

I also had a great time playing with ways to use some of the 4-in-1 punches on cards this week! The pink and purple card has a scalloped border made by punching Core'Dinations cardstock with punch 921 with no inserts and using the resulting piece as the border. Plus, it leaves me a beautiful floral-punched border to use on another project! The masculine card is made by tracing the star template onto brown Core'Dinations cardstcok and punching all the way around and trimming the resulting piece. Both cards use the Making Memories Just Chillin' line.
