Butterfly Die-

Circle Cutter-

Punch 901-

Punch 918

Garden of Cards

Good morning, Stephanie here with 2 cards today.  I had originally planned on giving you a look at punch 918, but then we have the wonderful sketch challenge this month and I created a card for that.  Since working with these punches is so much fun, and I go for them daily, I thought I'd share both cards today.

My first card is based upon the sketch challenge and who doesn't love a challenge!!  Just remember you have a lot of wiggle room when working with a sketch – it doesn't have to be exact, but it must resemble the sketch!!!

Instead of die cuts along the edge of the card, I used a large ribbon and attached my sentiment to it.

I used the lattice die which can be found in the store as the background for my card.  I used the fabulous Circle Cutter to cut my circles, then stitched them to the background.  I cut the butterfly die and placed it slightly off center and added some rhinestone swirls underneath and some pearls on top.

I then used Punch 901 along some white cardstock that I placed inside the card.

I wanted it to stand out so I backed it with some black cardstock.  Now this card is ready for any occasion you want to remember Mom.

For my second card, I used punch 918 without the inserts.  I love using these punches without the inserts because I can create 2 nice borders at the same time.  When you are finished punching, you can easily seperate the 2 pieces and use either one or both.  This is a perfect way to use up your scraps!

I decided to use both borders from punch 918 – one along the top edge of my card and one along the bottom edge.  I added a little ink for definition, a spring quote, a couple of brads and a pretty card was the result.

Pull out those scraps, and get punching!!!

I had so much fun creating these cards and I'd love to see what you can do with the sketch challenge this month.

Happy Scappin'

Stephanie
