Punch 906

A Different Punch Perspective

One of my favorite things about the Kreaxions punches is their versatility.  I know I talk about it all the time, but it really is true!  I needed to do a few Halloween projects in green and purple for a new design team I’m on.  (For more information please go to my blog – link on the left.)  I don’t have much in the way of Halloween supplies so I had to get creative.  I saw the Kreaxions Triangle Punch #906 and it reminded me of bat’s wings!  So I used all of the pieces from my border to embellish my page!  First I used Template A to punch two 12” borders.  I placed these on top of the strip of purple paper.  Then I added the cut away part to the bottom of the border and used my pen and drew some “x” marks to look like stitching.  It still needed a little something and I saw the punch again and punched a few more pieces without a template to create the “bat” border!  I didn’t have to use any extra papers, didn’t have to buy more stickers, and it looks like I actually PLANNED the page to look like this!

  Sweet R1

Materials – Cardstock – Unknown; Patterned Paper – Basic Grey; Stickers, Rhinestones – Joann’s; Stickles – Ranger; Pen – Sharpie; Letter Stickers – Cosmo Cricket

So my challenge to you this week is to look at your punches from a different perspective.  The holidays are fast approaching and you might just have the perfect embellishment for your project right there in your punches!
