Circle Cutter-

Punch 907

Chevrons and Borders – Part 1

My page
is the right side of a two page layout about us leaving Alaska in August.  It’s kind of difficult to find embellishments
to go with Alaska pages and chevrons are one of the newer scrappy trends.  So I pulled out my Kreaxions Punch #907 with
no insert and my Xyron X (for easy adhering!) and went to town!  It was great scrappy therapy!

We Will Be Back R1
Other Materials
– Sketch – CTMH; Cardstock – Bazzill, Coredinations; Grungeboard Letters –
Ranger; Paint – Making Memories; Pen – Sharpie; Glimmer Mist – Tattered Angels

I
used the edges of the punch to line things up so I’d have a continuous
border.  Just put the edge of the punch
in the middle of the last punched spot.
The chevrons are the cutaway pieces from the borders.  The corners on the top photo are created by
punching a corner and cutting diagonally across the bottom.  And I of course used my Kreaxions Circle
Cutter
to create the circle photo and mats.
I painted
Grungeboard letters with black paint.  I
also sprayed the background white cardstock with Glimmer Mist to pull out the
color outlining the Eskimo face on the tail of the plane.  I’ll post the left side of the two-pager next
week!

I hope
this encourages you to experiment with your punches and cutaway pieces!  Happy Punching!
